When living at home with my sister, she would make popovers. As she removed them from the oven, the steamy smell would fill the kitchen. I gobbled them! Popovers get my attention.
Pop ups drive me batty. However, when they pop up on sites I visit, my dutiful response includes adding my email address for a newsletter or some other offer. Most of them get “x’d” like a tic-tac-toe game. The one on my site irritates me, but its presence has a purpose.
