For a bride and groom, planning their big day is the one time where there really are no limits to their imaginations. Traditionally a bride and groom are expected be married in a church and quite often this church is one they either live near to or have attended at some point in their lives.
These days themes and wedding venues have changed dramatically and you really can get married practically anywhere and wear pretty much anything you like.
Most couples unusual wedding ideas come from either a passion they both share or the wedding idea may be from an important memory they wish to acknowledge or celebrate.
There are many different unusual and unique wedding ideas to consider. You may decide to get married at the place you and your partner first met. It has been known for marriages to take place underwater because the couple first met at sea or whilst scuba diving on holiday.
Unusual wedding ideas take a lot of effort and careful planning over a standard wedding. You may decide to have a certain theme and ask all your guests to wear a specific colour or outfit so it is important that everyone in the wedding party are informed of your requirements long beforehand.
When trying to plan unusual wedding ideas try not to get too carried away. The last thing you want is to be so over the top and too ambitious that on the day you simply can't pull it off.
You may decide that one of the best wedding ideas is to get married abroad. If you do decide to get married abroad you will need to plan well in advance to ensure that all the wedding guests have booked appropriate tickets and everyone you want there on your big day can actually get there.
Having a wedding abroad may mean you will need to compromise some of your wedding ideas. If the location is extremely hot you will need to choose an appropriate wedding dress. Traditional long gowns will leave you feeling hot and uncomfortable so try to find something more suitable for the climate.
Although most couples worry that there wedding day should be the biggest and the best ever sometimes the simpler but more unusual wedding ideas are the ones that are remembered. Whether it is giving gifts to your guests as they leave, or having a color theme sometimes just being a little different makes it all worth while.
The most important thing to remember when planning a wedding is to begin with a list. Write down everything that needs to be done and tick them off as and when they have been attended to. There is nothing worse that thinking your all set for the big day only to discover you forgot to order the wedding cake! |
