In order to attain your target heart rate for weight loss, you should be able to know what are the activities that you want to get involved and then you must also know what the normal heart rate for a certain activity or normal heart rate for your body condition are. Using this method, you take the number 220, subtract your age, and multiply that number by 70 percent and then the result would be your target heart rate. However, many would find this method is not accurate because not everyone is in the same physical condition. It is still important to consider your health condition whether you are athletic or you have a family history or personal history of heart problems.

It is important to reach your target heart rate for weight loss during your exercise or program to avoid potential problems. You work hard to get rid of excess fats or loss your weight to avoid heart problems. But you must remember that this exercise or program must be safe for you. To know your target heart rate will make you avoid future complications that you actually try to avoid.
