Music : Counting Crows Tickets - Still Singing Their Tunes

It was just supposed to be a short little outing, but with the response the two decade-long group received, the Counting Crows are returning with a slew of dates that offers up nearly every major city in the States a taste of their latest set, Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings, the first studio release since 2002's Hard Candy. The album, released March 2008, is another heart-wide-open Adam Duritz that contribute to the soft rock / pop community. Returning to the place where it all got started, the UK (which embraced their debut effort August before the Bay Area formed group found success back home) is their first stop before they begin their North American jaunt.
Though touring with a dissociative disorder like Duritz has is never easy, their live performances remain ever - classic after five studio albums "you walk on stage every night and share this thing with people that's absolute magic," he says to the BBC News. "My ideal is that you come to a show with all these expectations and none of them are met, yet you'll still love it and it's even more than you would've expected it to be." Enjoy the set list below, which begins to see the Crows in June and has them running throughout a plethora of folk festivals and cities like Los Angeles, St. Louis, Nashville and New York, until September.
The first promotion done without the help of their near two decade collaboration with Geffen Records, the group looks at their change positively. "We want a chance to push those boundaries back as far as we can," Duritz, Counting Crows' frontman, says on their website.
"Unfortunately, the directions we want to go and the opportunities we want to pursue are often things that our label is simply not allowed to do. We've been friends for a long time and we've worked together for a long time so they understand the direction we need to go in and we understand why they can't always go there with us.
