Apparel : Chic City Styles For Women Who Wear Plus Size Clothes

A black suit is the quintessential city look. Either a skirt or trousers when worn with the traditional city look can easily be made to both elegant and chic.
Fundamental points are to remember to chose trousers, skirts and jackets which compliment your body shape.
One of the easy ways to find out which body shape you fall into is to stand in front of a full length mirror wearing only your underwear.
Pear Shapes:
This shape is determined by thighs being the largest part of your body, saddlebags are also a common feature in pears and no matter how hard you try to shift them they stay put! Pears usually do not have particularly good leg shape, their strongest points are at the top half of the body. Pears look stunning in trousers which have flat fronts and no side pockets. The great thing about pears is that they usually have a good waist line so this is the bit to focus on. Wear belts at waist level to show your beautiful figure. Straight knee length boots are ideal for covering chunky calves and enable pears to wear skirts and dresses comfortably. City looks include suits with tailored trousers or jackets which emphasise the small waist.
Apples:
The body shape is the round type and can be difficult to dress. Most apples have wonderful busts which should be the focal point. Opt for low tops and fitted jackets and beautiful swinging skirts which have a good depth of waist band with side fastenings. Avoid skirts and dresses which are cut on the bias or pencil skirts which will accentuate the size of the hips. Choose tailored wide leg trousers.
Hourglass:
The key dress style for those with an hourglass figure is to choose V-neck fitted cardigans and pencil skirts. Hourglass figures should not wear stilettos they should choose the latest peep toes or rounded shoes.
Bricks:
Those which have been dubbed 'brick' by style gurus Trinny and Susanna have not defined shaped per say! These women find it difficult to feel feminine however they are able to wear asymmetric pleats on skirts which will give them definition to their bottoms. Bricks also need curves to look stunning so opt for tops which have beautiful embellishments around the neckline and wear rounded toe shoes.
For course many women will look in the mirror and find they are a combination of two body shapes because they don't match the stereotypical boxes! However, you know the bits of your body you like best so these are the ones that you should focus on!
Fashion gurus have also helped by designing some wonderful lingerie to help push and pull into the shape we desire!
When choosing chic city styles remember the fundamentals and opt for styles which flatter your wonderful shape irrespective of which category you fall into! Women who wear plus size clothes have the distinct advantages of being able to look elegant in either trousers or skirts which are highly fashionable this season.
