Getting invited to a beach wedding is already enough to make one excited since naturally, anything a bit far from the customary elicits excitement among us. Beach wedding favors will further add to the fun of it.
Photos and take-home foods seem not enough for thank-you souvenirs on wedding days that guests eagerly expect something from the newly-wed couple before finally going home and leaving the wedding venue.
And what might be the guests expecting from the couple aside from being invited again for the coming of their firstborn child? What else but a beautiful wedding favor? It is not only the groom and the bride who receive gifts during their wedding.
The guest also receives something from them as a simple token of appreciation for their presence. The couple's gratitude to their guests goes beyond words and is concretely expressed through the wedding favors. The guests will be deeply touched by such gesture of sincere gratitude.
Soon-to-wed couples pattern the wedding of their dreams from the various factors that they hold important to them like wishes of respective families or parents, the culture that they grew up into, the values that they possess, the beliefs that they support, even the season and of course, individual interests.
Other factors that are bases of wedding themes are the budget and the current trend in the wedding scene (on what kind of wedding is "in" or is "hot").
Having a wedding with a beach theme sounds really cool and exciting already and your guests will immediately give you the I-should-go-there looks on their faces by the time they encounter the two magical and enthralling words, beach plus wedding in the invitation card.
Walking down with your loved one while swaying your hands together at the shores with the waves gently kissing your feet and the sun slowly sets as he witness you both saying sweet-nothings to each other is already a sight to behold and an experience to have, so what more if you're going to get married on a beach? That would be ultimately romantic and lovely!
Beach wedding favors are far from the common favors that you tend to receive when attending traditional weddings. If usually you would receive miniatures bells or rings, then expect skillfully and creatively crafted wedding favors on beach-themed weddings and see for yourself the huge difference.
Following are simple suggestions for specific types of wedding souvenirs that a couple might want to give on their beach wedding day:
For a romantic wedding favor that would remind you of the slowly fading sun in the horizon with its reflections on the still waters of the sea or the bright twinkling of the stars with the mysterious moon lording over them, go for glass lanterns with a matching candle on the inside.
Adorn it with seashells and paint the glass with a soft shade of blue, green or orange. As one light up the candle, its light will try to escape the painted glass and the effect it will produce would be as romantic as a sunset by the beach.
For a practical wedding favor, try giving put personalized sunscreen lotions that come in small tubes. Name the lotions something like Beach Lover Sunscreen or Fun-in-the-Sun Lotion. Skin cancer is scary and to reduce the risk of developing sun-related skin problems, gives the guests sun-protection lotion that would make them think that you are concerned over their welfare.
For wedding favors with a bit of a classical twist, try giving away book marks that have a beach design or are shape like palm trees.
For those guests who love taking a sip of their favorite cocktails while sitting on the beach or walking on its sands, a "drinking spree" wedding favor is up for the grabs. Prepare personalized (your very own creations!) cocktail mixes for your guests and place them in colorful packets.
If your budget would allow, then also consider including cocktail glasses filled with seashells. Your guests can always place the shells in another container and use the cocktail glass for, but what else? For taking a taste of those cocktails mixes!
Those are but just a few of the many favors you could give to your guests. Beach themed wedding favors are truly added treats in an already delightful wedding, and your fortunate guests will be given the wonderful opportunity to bring home wedding favors that will remind them of the splendor of the sun, sea and sand. |
